A Good Reason to Not Drive Under The Influence is to Keep Your Insurance Rates Low

There are so many different reasons not to drive under the influence, but one that can seriously hurt the driver is the increase in car insurance rates after the incident occurs.  Often times a person who is arrested for a DUI or DWI offense will commit the offense again at another time.  While this really shows that the punishment needs to be harsher than what it is, it also tells us that it is much riskier to insure a driver who had a DUI offense.  This will often be apparent to the offender when their DUI auto insurance quotes increase substantially.  It can be quite expensive for the driver while destroying their driving record.
