Cincinnati Translation Firm Links Murder to Russian Mafia

Ermek Abdildaev, a Russian immigrant to Cincinnati in the late 1990s, is considered the main suspect in the cold case slaying of Aleksander Alferov.  According to a Cincinnati translation service, Abdildaev murdered Alferov  to carry out  an order that came down from the Russian Mafia.

Abdildaev, 40, was arrested in Chicago in November, and was indicted in mid-November by a grand jury in Cincinnati. The victim Alferov’s remains were discovered 2007 in a forest in Hamilton Township. Alferov vanished in 2000, and investigators believe his slaying was linked to Russian organized crime.  Bond was set at $50,000, and Abdildaev was ordered to relinquish his passport if he is released on bail.
