Tube reversal is a less invasive surgical operation

Laparoscopic tubal reversal is a less invasive surgical operation (laparoscopy), using small, specially-designed surgical instruments to join the fallopian tubes. After giving general anesthesia,  a 10 mm tubeknown as trocar is introduced just at the lower edge of the navel, and a gas is pumped into the abdominal cavity to create adequate space to perform the operation precisely. The laparoscope, connected to a photographic camera, is inserted into the abdomen by means the same tube, and the abdomen/pelvis is properly observed. The fallopian tubes are evaluated and the ligation is examined. 3 surgical instruments are employed to remove the obstruction and prepare the two segments of the fallopian tube to be connected back. One method involves the usage of a tubal cannulator, which is inserted into the uterus through the cervix, providing the tube to be reattached with a fine stent. This permits for better alignment of the fallopian tubes, so a good connection can be established. Small surgical seams (less than a hair’s-breadth in thickness) are carefully and meticulously placed to unite the two sections.
