My Boyfriends Mandatory Training At Work

My boyfriend and I hardly see one another during the week since we both work two different shifts. So we devised a plan to meet once a week for entertainment. We usually go out somewhere. Last week we decided to meet at a local restaurant. When I got to the restaurant he wasn’t there so I decided to wait for him. He was over an hour late and I asked him what happened. He apologized and say he had to stay for mandatory plant training. He said it was very similar to the in-service trainings that I haven’t my job. He said he tried to call but my phone kept going right to voice mail.
