Buses from Kolhapur

From here a steep, narrow footpath as well as a metal led road wind through blue pines to Gulmarg. From Tanmarg one can also hire a pony in place of Buses from Kolhapur. The buses go directly up to Gulmarg in summer and in winter also subject to road being through. There are tourist huts, chalet type hotels and tourist bungalows, Government accommodation can be booked through the Managing Director, Tourism Development Corporation, Srinagar. An eleven Kilometre circular walk girdling Gulmarg, runs through pine scented woods which offers panoramic views of a Naga Parvat across the vale in the north.
